Health and Fitness: Food. Fitness. Lifestyle.

I think that sums it nicely of my focus as a health and fitness coach. As an independent health and fitness coach, my mission is to help people Eat Better & Move More through guidance, support and solutions.

This being after I fired Corporate America, leaving a career of 25 years in corporate finance and accounting positions. Okay, maybe not as dramatic as that…but doesn’t it sound good? I am a CPA (certified public accountant). Although I enjoyed many of these years, I simply became burned out and tired of the “just another number” routine…pun intended.

In becoming a health and fitness coach, I’m able to combine my interest in food and nutrition…with my passion for running and triathlons.

I’m receiving my formal training with the Institute For Integrative Nutrition out of New York, where I am being trained in more than one hundred dietary theories and studying a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods.

Informally on the fitness side, I’ve been hitting the pavement as a lifelong runner. I have about a dozen marathons to my credit with a PR of 2:48…yes, in my younger years. The passion has now shifted to triathlons, including the Ironman distance at Lake Placid, NY and British Columbia, Canada.  health and fitness

With the primary targets of Food & Fitness, I’m also an independent rep for two great organizations, each promoting a portion of my Eat Better & Move More message. Eat Better is supported by Wildtree and the Move More is supported by Beachbody.

Finally, I also live by the mantra Pay It Forward. This came about during my volunteering with Team In Training, a division of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. It was at the time a few people I knew passed away and I saw the movie of the same name. It made me look at my life…and whether I was making a difference in this world.

With this in mind, I also founded and run a non-profit called Fit 4 Life of America. We have created a club whose mission is to reduce the overweigth and obesity rates along with the chronic illnesses. You can learn more at www.TheFit4LifeClub.com.

Thanks for visiting and I hope to hear from some of you out there.

Cheers!
